The Greater Peoria Mass Transit District introduced The Shopping Shuffle in June.

This service extends service out from the Northwood’s Mall to Cub Foods in Glen Hollow and Wal-Mart Supercenter on Allen Road. It also connects Wal-Mart Supercenter and Kroger in Knoxville Square. The shuffle runs four times a day on four routes. This service will help riders balance their busy schedules and reduce time spent traveling to more than one destination.

The Greater Peoria Mass Transit District and West

Peoria continue their thirty-seven year partnership for providing public transportation to the citizens of West Peoria. There are two bus routes, #5 Main and #11 Western, which service through West Peoria. Many citizens utilize the #5 Main to get from West Peoria to Northwood’s Mall and back. Numerous stops located

on Western and Rohmann give access to popular stops like Haddad’s Market, St. Mary’s Cemetery, and Calvin Coolidge School. The #11 Western provides service to Madison Park Shopping Center, Proctor Center, and Roosevelt Magnet School. West Peoria residents can also utilize this route to attend a Peoria Chiefs baseball game at O’Brien Field.
