MINUTES PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE WEST PEORIA CITY HALL 2506 W. ROHMANN AVENUE WEST PEORIA, ILLINOIS, 61604 WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 2009, 5:30 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER – The meeting was called to order by Chair Dwyer at 5:35 PM.
2. ROLL CALL – Members present were: Chair Dwyer, Alderwoman Thomas and Alderman Meismer. Also present was Planning and Development Coordinator Gene Pratt.
3. ADDITIONS TO OR DELETIONS FROM THE AGENDA – None.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING – Minutes from the last meeting were reviewed. It was moved by Alderwoman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Meismer and unanimously carried to approve the minutes.
5. REVIEW OF MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT – Report was reviewed and accepted as presented.
6. PUBLIC COMMENT – None.
7. REVIEW OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER’S REPORT – Code and Zoning Officer Dan was not present. The reports were reviewed. Chair Dwyer noted some incomplete dates on the reports and said he would speak to Mr. Sullivan concerning those items.
8. WASTE MANAGEMENT UPDATE – Chair Dwyer led a discussion of the single payer option and concerns on how the financing of this would be done.
9. CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT – Mr. Carlson was not in attendance. Mr. Pratt gave the report. He spoke about the latest updates on the Benedict’s Auto Sales issue.
10. PUBLIC COMMENT – None.
11. ADJOURNMENT – 6:02 PM
