MINUTES LAND USE COMMITTEE WEST PEORIA CITY HALL 2506 W. ROHMANN AVENUE WEST PEORIA, ILLINOIS, 61604 WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 2009, 6:30 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER – Meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Chair Dohm.
2. ROLL CALL – Chair Dohm, Alderman O’Neill and Alderwoman Thomas were present. Also present: Planning and Development Coordinator Gene Pratt and Plan Commission member Beth Gilbert.
3. ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO AGENDA – Add discussion of church building to item 9.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM REGULAR MEETING – It was moved by Alderman O’Neill anseconded by Alderwoman Thomas to approve the minutes as presented.
5. REVIEW OF MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT – The report was reviewed and accepted as presented.
6. PUBLIC COMMENT – None.
7. REVIEW OF ZONING REPORT – Mr. Sullivan was not in attendance. The reports were reviewed and suggestions were made for Mr. Pratt to follow up on.
8. CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT – Mr. Carlson was not in attendance. Mr. Pratt gave the report. a. BABU CONDOMINIUM COMPLEX – DISCUSSION – There was a discussion of the Babu Condominium Complex annexation. The Committee discussed the benefits of the annexation and said it could be done before Mr. Babu’s return to the Peoria County Zoning Committee in September.
9. OTHER BUSINESS – There was a discussion of the church building and a general discussion of the need of more space for the City staff. There was also discussion about the make up of the Building Committee. Chair Dohm asked that this be kept on the agenda until further notice.
10. PUBLIC COMMENT – None.
11. Adjournment – 7:07 PM.
