Dear fellow West Peorians and future residents,
As the Mayor of the City of West Peoria, I would like to welcome you to
our city! We are a small town that strives to maintain an atmosphere of
comfort among neighbors, friends and family. Our community is a hidden
treasure in the greater Peoria-Pekin Metropolitan Area, often perceived
as “one big neighborhood”.
In keeping with our small-town atmosphere, annual community celebrations
are held each summer including the West Peoria Jamboree in June; the 4th
of July Parade; and Night Out Against Crime in August. These fun
activities help to promote civic involvement and encourage unity among
residents.
As a community, we have recently completed the MAPPING Your Future
Program - a strategic visioning and planning process. Community
members met together last year to come up with a strategy
to pursue a “better” West Peoria. The goals put forth from
this process were: Town Beautification, Economic Development,
Educational Excellence, Community Services for Youth & Elderly, and
Crime Prevention & Safety.
As a local government, we are here to serve the community with fairness
and consistency. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you are
interested in relocating to West Peoria, please e-mail us or stop by
